Families Must Decide - Public School or Home School!

By James Brent Beach

Families are now faced with severe legal issues one would never think possible in America. A government that believes that it not you knows what is best for your children. And, that your children are the property of the government. Public schools that without your consent or informing you give birth control pills and condoms to children as young as 11 years old. Public schools that coax children as young as 9 years old into taking a suicide survey such as Teen Screen see http://www.psychsearch.net/teenscreen.html. Schools that force drugs on your children against your will.  Drugs you and your child would be imprisoned for if purchased on the street or without a prescription.

This article is not a blanket statement of all public schools. Teaching is a wonderful profession filled with admirable individuals. Public schools fill a need, where parents do not have the desire, time or for some reason are incapable of home schooling. And though not covered in this article, parents may have other options such as charter schools, vouchers and private schools. Regardless of the choice parents should be actively involved with their child’s school. Assisting the school and their children. Only in this way can they be fully aware of the environment and issues faced by their children.

There is nothing more important than family. Parents are faced with a decision given today’s reality, to use the public schools or to home school. Home schooling takes dedication, time, patients and discipline. A family may need to settle for less so that they can spend the time necessary to home school their children. It will not be easy. Yet I have met a family with five
wonderful children, to my knowledge all home schooled while the parents were building a multi-state distribution business. Their goal is to teach them to be the political leaders of their time. Working with other like minded parents they designed their own programs based on their religious beliefs. Any parent would have been proud to call these children their own.

Family is one of life’s greatest treasures; it’s an adventure worth savoring every minute. Like any thing in life the time spent pays dividends far beyond the energy invested. Spend the time to learn about your educational options so you can make the right decision for your family. You can research home schooling options below and on the web. Keep abreast of legislation regarding education and parental rights. And then, should you decide to home school, embark on a wonderful adventure.
