  • Until healthy changes can be implemented and students taught why healthy meals are important. It will have to be addressed from home.

Unless you feel pizza is a nutritious lunch. That hot dogs set a good example of what a nutritious meal is. And, that junk food feeds the brain the nutrition it requires to think, make quality decisions and operate properly. I believe you will have to prepare your kids lunches at home! If you must allow your child to eat the food prepared at school, contact your child's school and ask for the menu or internet site where the menu is published. And, allow them to eat at school on the days when healthy meals are served.

I truly believe that a meal prepared to the child's individual nutritional needs will help that child reach his greatest potential. And, a meal prepared for everybody will be good for some, neutral for others and hold some children back. This can be especially true where there is a known (or unknown) reaction to a certain food ingredient.

An ideal meal is one prepared to match your child's metabolic type. This is easy where the child or teen is mature enough to be tested and follow his or her nutrition program. Younger children will require a watchful eye by the parent as to the reactions of the child to different foods and food types i.e.: protein, fats and carbohydrate. Along with an understanding of metabolic typing diets and the current state of our food supply. A good place to start is Three Steps To Health Happiness Love and Joy! a wonderful free manual. And, the Articles and Resource sections.
